The NCSFA acknowledges and celebrates the many diverse talents of our members with a show that will be seen by many art enthusiasts in the North County area.  The “Expressions Gallery” at the Escondido Municipal Art Gallery complex offers a well-lit, attractive space.Inqure for purchase of artist’s workat the main desk at the Escondido Municipal Gallery

Show Prospectus:
REQUIREMENTS/INFORMATION

All 2D and 3D media will be accepted

Entry Limit:  Three artworks may be entered.  However, only two artworks may be accepted per artist.
Fees:            $25 for one entry, $35 for two entries, $45 for three entries.
Awards:        $100 First place, $75 second place, $50 third place. Honorable mention certificates to be awarded at the discretion of the juror.
Commission:  For works sold, a 10% commission is payable to the Escondido Arts Partnership.  NCSFA does not charge additional commission for work sold.
Size Limit:       No piece smaller than 12”, or larger than 32” on any side, FRAME INCLUDED.
Framing:         Works must be framed, wired, and ready to hang.  No saw-tooth hangers.  Exception: works on canvas do not need a frame if the stretcher uses a wrapped canvas with no staples showing.

All work MUST have an identifying label with artist name and title on the back of work, and on sculpture, on the bottom.
No accepted work may be removed prior to Saturday, November 5th.

Tues, September 27th     Deadline for entry form and payment via website (artwork will be juried live – no digital images) 

Sat, October 1st            Take-in of art for jurying (If you need assistance, please contact Pat Titus
11 am – 1pm    

Mon, October 3rd           List of work accepted will be posted on NCSFA website

Tues, October 4th          Pick up of non-accepted art:  There is no storage space, so if you cannot pick up
11 am – 1 pm         your work, please make arrangements to have someone else pick it up, or contact Pat Titus

Sat, October 8th         Reception:  Awards presentation at 6 p.m., please bring finger food
5:30 – 8 pm

Sat, November 5th    Pick up art at end of showThere is no storage space, so if you cannot pick up your

About our Juror: Catherine Grawin

Catherine Grawin, a native Californian, is an oil painter of landscape, still life and abstract work. A true colorist, her bold and loose brushwork is her signature style that appeals to collectors in the US and abroad. Her art education includes a BA degree from SDSU in Graphic Design and Communication, with post-graduate work in Architectural Design and Rendering. Some of her noteworthy art teachers include Sebastian Capella and John Asaro among others.

Grawin's work can be seen in the fine art book Land of Sunlight.

She is one of seven artists featured in the art documentary film Plein Air Painters of Santa Ysabel, California. She is a juried participant in SOHO's historic 2015 '100 years of Art in Balboa Park' exhibition at the Marston House Museum, commemorating the 1915 Panama-California Exposition Centennial. Grawin's work is represented at the Santa Ysabel Art Gallery, Santa Ysabel, CA and Cosmopolitan Fine Arts, La Jolla, CA.

Catherine teaches the Painting alla Prima in Oils method in her Solana Beach studio. Other venues include Plein Air Painting at UCSD Extension and Painting alla Prima in Oils - Get Loose! at the La Jolla Athenaeum School of Arts. She gives public painting demonstrations and has been invited to judge art shows.
